Responsibilities

As a developer in the Azure Compute and Host Networking team, you would be shepherding an incubation effort into production, where distributed systems meets technologies like SRIOV, RDMA, FPGA, and multiple OSes. You should have a passion for performant design, test methodologies, and enjoy working on a fast-paced team. The Azure Compute and Host Networking team is a very strong team with a track record of turning interesting research projects into highly successful foundational Azure offerings, for example the SmartNIC design described here: https://www.usenix.org/system/files/conference/nsdi18/nsdi18-firestone.pdf

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• 7+ years of experience in software development in C/C++

• Linux/Windows kernel and/or DPDK development experience

• Systems programming experience

• Kernel or driver development experience

• Solid System Design and Dev skills

• Experience with performance optimization of low level code 

• Experience shipping products or services

• Ability to work with multiple partner teams and external vendors to drive impact

• Passion and drive for profound impact

• BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
