Roles and Responsibilities
Technical process ownership for castings commodity
Partner with sourcing team members on Casting supplier development and cost out projects
Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements and new technologies
Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
Design and implement manufacturing processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product development and current product support
Investigate and apply new technology
Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area
Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance
Communicate progress & challenges to leadership teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in Casting Technologies)
A minimum of 5 years experience in Sourcing, Materials or Supply Chain Manufacturing
