The Manager of Internal Development will manage the scheduling process for a large practice area. The scheduling responsibilities include creating a scheduling tool, directing, organizing and planning the scheduling of tax work assignments based on engagement requirements and skill profiles. In this role, the Manager of Internal Development will coordinate qualifications and proficiencies with the clients’ job requirements to enhance final work product, and evaluate and assess productivity on an individual group level. In addition, the Manager will assist in determining future staffing needs and coordinates with Human Resources on objectives and strategies for recruiting, will work with management to track training needs for personnel in the department and provide support in the budget process for the department’s financial statements and analyzes operating results. During the forecasting process, this role will partner with Office Managing Partner to ensure a smooth forecasting process.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree required with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

Experience:

- Five or more years of relevant experience in project management, public accounting or professional services required
- Experience in project management, including developing and managing project timelines, prioritizing and assigning projects and tasks and assessing progress

License/Certifications:

- CPA preferred. Consideration will be given to JD, CIA, CISA, CMA or other certification supportive to public accounting.

Software:

- Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Ability to act as a strategic partner to regional and local business line and practice leadership and management teams

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all matters
- Ability to deliver presentations and facilitate meetings/training sessions
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
