We have an opportunity for an Industrial sales professional looking to independently manage and grow revenue in the Memphis, TN territory. Candidates with business-to-business sales experience are a logical fit but we are open to those who demonstrate talent, drive, and a proven track record of strong business partnerships.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Become the face of Michelin in your territory with material handling and small construction fleets.
Take ownership for achieving business results. With the support of your team, implement the commercial programs and policies designed to achieve your sales and service goals.
Serve as the business consultant to primarily material handling customers, but also small construction fleets. Use your training, problem solving skills, and access to technical resources to make recommendations to dealers and commercial customers that lower their operating costs. For example, matching products and services to customer needs, conducting site analyses, performing cost-per-hour analyses, and investigating mechanical issues.
Develops/generates new leads by monitoring trends, conducting research, identifying opportunities, cold calling, and making appointments.
Implement a variety of sales strategies, tools, and training programs to inform dealer sales and marketing teams of new product launches and programs, creating a level of support and service that meets or exceeds the needs of the commercial customer.
Form effective, consultative partnerships with each account, resulting in increased sales of Michelin products.
Work extensively with commercial tire dealers and equipment dealers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Successful Candidates will have
Live within the Memphis, TN area
BA or BS degree, preferably in business administration or a related field, or preferred equivalent sales experience.
Knowledge of market analysis, customer relations, budget management, needs analysis, and brand positioning
Strong communication skills, professional and engaging presentations, effective one-on-one conversations, and written correspondence
High degree of initiative and ability to work independently
Willingness to participate in a comprehensive, results-focused training program for a total of 5 weeks with two of those weeks potentially being in our North American home of Greenville, S.C.
Ability to physically lift 30 pounds
Travel within assigned Memphis, TN territory (possibly overnight); as necessary
Additional Competencies We Look For:
Four (4) or more years of business-to-business outside sales experience is ideal, preferably within industrial manufacturing.
Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Business math skills to write quotes, demonstrate ROI, make product comparisons
Experience using a CRM system (SalesForce preferred) to include:
Account portfolio management, logging all customer activities appropriately
Opportunity Management, identifying and managing new sales opportunities within the different opportunity funnel stages
Creating and managing existing customer quotes
