Position Overview:

Fostering an innovative culture that maximizes Digital and data is a priority for Sanofi. We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic, digitally-savvy, healthcare oriented leader to drive GRA’s Process, Data & Technology (PDT) innovation culture, five year roadmap, and portfolio of projects across process, data, digital, and innovation.

The GRA Program & PDT Innovation Lead is a strong leader who can combine management consulting, process excellence, program management, change management with pharmaceutical and biotechnology regulatory knowledge to drive the ongoing transformation and continuous improvement of GRA and its partner process/data/technology interfaces.

Innovation and Digital The role is accountable for driving the GRA PDT Innovation platform including growing the framework and organizational innovative culture. Champion, lead and manage innovative approaches to business challenges and work across GRA and its partners (internally and externally) that align with business strategies, focus on the user experience, and deliver tangible value. This role is accountable for the Program Management of GRA’s process, data, digital (PDT) and innovation projects/initiatives.

Both accountabilities are done in partnership with GRA corporate plus affiliates, contributing functions (PV, Clinical, non-Clinical, etc.) and Digital.  The role will be a key champion and change agent at all levels of the organization. The role reports to the Head of Process & PDT Innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

General

Advises and influences senior management on the marketplace evolution and potential application of information and technology, aligned to the overall GRA strategy.

Builds superior skills within the strong overall team, owning performance management, talent development and succession for his/her area of responsibility and contributes to the same for the broader GRO function.

Represents Sanofi in relevant industry groups.

Addresses complex problems with broad implications for process and information architecture, balancing the often-competing needs of standardization and innovation.

In close partnership with senior business stakeholders, manages governance processes and resources, and will consistently influence, match and prioritize complex demands on multiple services to maximize value to the business.

Process, Data & Technology (PDT) Innovation

Foster an innovation culture with a supporting framework to identify, test, and develop ideas.

Work collaboratively within GRA, R&D, and Sanofi at large, develops, oversees and implements specific initiatives to meet the regulatory digital strategy in alignment with Sanofi’s Digital roadmap. Represents GRA at cross-functional committees and teams.

Develop an innovation framework that fosters a culture of innovation, agile ideation stage (MVP), and the business case to scale in production.

Recognizes promising ideas and finds ways to introduce them into the GRA’s PDT roadmap and effectively define prioritize initiatives (e.g. cost, feasibility, resourcing, user demand, etc.).  

Strategizes with champions, users and Digital to transform general ideas into workable Minimal Viable Products (MVP).

Foster a culture of creative thinking across the organization and implements methods to nurture GRA’s innovative culture

Monitors other organizations (internally and externally) to identify trends, potential partnerships, and lessons learned.

Champion innovation and challenge recycling of that is the way it has always been done approaches.

Drive implementation of the Process, Data & Technology innovation portfolio.

Drive, analyze and prioritize detailed business cases and technical requirements.

Shape the external regulatory environment in support of innovation (process, data, technology), working with regulators, stakeholders and counterparts at other healthcare companies.

Creates and manages the Analytics/reporting capability strategy and roadmap aligned to the Sanofi business objectives, Health Authority requirements and with the ITS corporate strategy.

Portfolio Management

Oversee managing GRA’s portfolio and roadmap of Process, Data, Digital and Innovation initiatives/projects including the framework, budget, resourcing and assisting projects with clearing roadblocks, and measuring outcomes.

Identify and lead strategic projects/initiatives.

Manage the Veeva Vault RIM cloud releases (~6 per year).

Basic Qualifications:

10-15 experience, with experience in the pharmaceutical industry specifically enabling regulatory processes with data and technology.

A track record of identifying and cultivating innovative ideas that align with business objectives.

Experience leading large global programs (process, data and digital) in a complex, multi-disciplinary, and international organization.  

Deep digital expertise. Track record of successful digital product/process design, digital pilot management, identifying and managing appropriate vendors/partners. 

Strong strategic and policy thinker. Ability to lead, influence and implement strategic policies and decisions and engage collaboratively at all levels both internally and externally.

Ability to think strategically (outside-the-box) and set clear direction and goals.

Ability to move fluidly from strategic to operational.

Must possess an inquisitive and creative mind

Forward-thinking and adaptive to dynamic situations

Strong business acumen and presentation skills

Must be willing to take calculated risks and manage expectations of stakeholders, management, and users.
