Description

The Associate position is part of a comprehensive machine and process operation from raw material handling to finished product packaging. An Associate operates various computer-controlled machines, maintains a clean work area while monitoring personal and equipment safety, material quality, production efficiency, and costs. Associates work closely with others in a team environment and are actively involved in process improvements.

THIS POSITION IS ASSIGNED TO A ROTATING SHIFT.

Daily requirements include operating various computer-controlled manufacturing machines, troubleshooting equipment, performing quality checks, preventive maintenance, maintaining fork lift certification with demonstrated safe operation, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds/ 75 pounds occasionally.

Required Job Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

1+ year continuous work experience, preferably as a machine operator in an industrial/ manufacturing environment

Proficient knowledge of computers or computer-controlled operations

Comfortable working with precise measurements, including fractions, decimals, and ratios as well as a tape measure.

Ability to function well within a team, sharing and receiving information efficiently and respectfully

Confidently use sound judgment and troubleshooting processes, make suggestions to improve productivity and efficiency

Flexibility and willingness to work on process improvement/development projects and modifications

Ability and willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
*This position has a rotating shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications/ Professional Experience/ Years of Experience:

3+ years machine operator in a manufacturing environment

Some college/ trade school training in maintenance, mechanics, instrumentation, or other technical skill; or equivalent experience

Forklift operator certification with 3+ years of experience
