Job Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure Ashland corporate and Kearny site-specific safety policies are observed; report unsafe environments, and behaviors.  Conduct themselves in alignment with a Zero-Incident-Culture.
Ensure compliance with Ashland corporate and Kearny site-specific food safety policies (including Food Safety Management System)
Conduct housekeeping, sanitation, food safety, and GMP inspections.
Batch record review in the process area for completeness. 
Provide QC inspection and release of equipment and rooms after cleaning, sanitizing and ATP or Allergen swabbing.  Will be required to perform environmental swabbing. 
QC Inspector will perform raw material, in-process and finished product sampling
QC inspector will perform internal audits of plant operations.
Other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

High School diploma required.
1 to 3 years’ experience of quality control/assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills, written, and verbal. Computer skills necessary to fulfill requirements of position able to operate independently and as a part of a team. Lift 25Lbs. Self-motivated worker, able to act independently and set priorities

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

Knowledge and Understanding of Quality System Standards FDA 21 CFR Parts 111 and 117 GMP and cGMP Regulations.
Associates or Bachelors Degree
