Job Description
Your role at Clorox:
The Production Scheduler has the responsibility for scheduling the Spring Hill KS cat litter manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will schedule in a manner that maximizes product availability while optimizing operating efficiency and plant resources. Relocation is included for this position.
In this role, you will:
Creates production schedule utilizing detailed analysis of ERP tools to recommend a plan that maximizes order fill rate while optimizing production and cost efficiency. Adjusts schedule as needed to account for changes in business demand, raw material & packaging availability, inventory discrepancies, staffing changes, etc.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Clorox MRP processes to assist material procurement and operations teams in MRP-related issues.
Build strong relationships with corporate and plant partners to negotiate and influence decisions related to scheduling, inventory targets, postponement to regional distribution centers, fulfillment of customer orders, and product life-cycle management. Provide insight on capacity constraints and make suggestions on how to address.
Perform SAP master data maintenance and new product set-up
Participate actively in the leadership of the plant as a member of the salaried team
What we look for:
Required Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated intermediate computer skills; working knowledge of SAP.
Strong capability to analyze data in Excel and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
Creative and flexible in managing conflicting priorities
Ability to make decisions with incomplete information
Build strong interpersonal and professional relationships with internal & external partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – clear & concise in communication.
Strong attention to detail
Dedicated to continuous improvement
Learn and adapt quickly to new technology
Be willing to work occasional nights and weekends from home to make schedule adjustments.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; however equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated scheduling experience utilizing MRP tools in a manufacturing environment OR knowledge of key scheduling and MRP principles through working in a manufacturing environment for at least 2 years
Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment.
