Position Summary:
Responsible for achieving sales forecasts by conducting appropriate activities and having impactful dialogue with healthcare providers (HCPs) and their staff. The Professional Sales Representative will be expected to meet all annual sales objectives by identifying territory specific sales strategies aimed at maximizing sales results within a defined geography. The Professional Sales Rep will be expected to establish long-term business relationships with HCPs while maintaining a positive image of our client and IQVIA, both internally and externally, and maintaining compliance with all policies that govern sales activity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Achieve sales goals by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plan in assigned territory
Analyze sales performance and adjusts business plan and approach accordingly
Maintain and update current and prospective target prescriber profiles and call records
Keep current with market knowledge and competitive products
Successfully complete/participate in all required training and sales meetings
Plan and organize territory to meet sales and call targets
Conduct sales presentations – both virtual and in person as applicable
Coordinate and participate in lunch and learns, speaker programs, and conferences, as appropriate
Demonstrate mastery of selling skills with expertise in questioning and probing to better understand customer wants and needs
Demonstrate effective interaction with all IQVIA and client company personnel
Assist with special projects as assigned by management (i.e. managed care pull-through programs, customer support outside of designated territory, etc.)
Make complete, accurate and timely submission of all timekeeping, details, call activity, expense reports, and sample activity when applicable
Comply with governing corporate policies and SOPs, as well as applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, including compliance with promotional program, and proper use of promotional materials and promotional expense budgets
Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university required
Three years prior business to business, pharmaceutical, or medical sales experience strongly preferred
Psychiatry/Ped call point experience strongly preferred
25%+ travel may be required
May need to work evenings and weekends as needed (conferences, programs, etc.)
Must live in territory
Must produce documented sales results and examples of awards/achievements
Must be able to secure credentialing to access relevant customers and accounts in territory
Valid driver’s license required
