Position Summary:
The BDM will coordinate with cross-functional internal stakeholders in the preparation of complex proposals and presentations, supporting the new business pursuit process from strategy and content development through review, production and evaluation.
This high-visibility role calls for a confident and creative communications professional with excellent strategic-thinking, writing, project management, analytical and collaboration skills. The preferred candidate is self-directed and has experience in a deadline-driven environment. Things move fast – so you must be a quick learner, a team player, organized and detail oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Innovate and develop new business pitch materials that drive brand consistency while addressing specific clients’ needs
Initiate and provide connection between internal stakeholders to drive a holistic approach to new business opportunities
Drive the presentation development process; includes synthesizing a high volume of stakeholder inputs, defining a story framework, mapping content to key messages and creating best-in-class materials
Organize, attend and contribute to preparation meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and responsiveness
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction; achieving established goals
Maintain strict adherence to quality control methods and department processes required to produce quality work product and timely delivery of submittals/deliverables
Maintain an internal best-in-class library of creative marketing materials/approaches
Track the results of and collect feedback for new business pursuits

RFP & Strategic Pursuit Process:
Lead the coordination and development of client account plans for strategic pursuits
Own the process and coordination of proposed client solution, including scope clarification, defining assumptions and risk mitigation
Maximize JLL’s internal, global network supporting an integrated approach to the creation of creative and customized solutions
Participate in client-facing yellow pad sessions to help diagnose client needs and propose bespoke solutions
Excellent ability to distill a large amount of information into a compelling and concise response to a client’s need
Apply strong working knowledge of real estate outsourcing models to effectively design impactful solutions based on what the client is trying to solve
Help identify additional sales or growth opportunities during the RFP process
Proposal and Presentation Development:
Facilitate proposal process, managing the delegation, communication and tracking of schedule and all stakeholder responsibilities, including sales, subject matter experts, pricing, design and marketing
Apply a strong working knowledge of JLL services lines, platform and value proposition
Write the executive summary and key themes for major pursuits; in association with pursuit team
Interpret RFP components and develop response that addresses specific requests
Help develop and communicate win themes, strategies and graphic design approaches
Work with sales and operational subject matter experts as contributors and/or reviewers
Produce or facilitate the production of relevant and impactful graphics that reinforce key messaging
Support the preparation of all deliverables related to the opportunity (i.e., Yellow Pads, BAFO, etc.)
Facilitate debrief session with pursuit team to document lessons learned
Qualifications:
5+ years in business development or strategic marketing
High emotional intelligence, comfortable interacting with all levels of internal & external partners
Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business
Ability to translate broad concepts and ideas into clear and logical communications
Translate complex ideas into clear and effective graphics
Flexible and a proactive individual able to work under their own initiative
High degree of energy, assertiveness and creativity
Ability to produce multiple deliverables quickly, while maintaining quality and accuracy
Ability to prioritize work under pressure
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
