Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Build a strong electrical engineering team. Develop and maintain a robust design process for electronic designs. Work closely with other cross-functional leaders in the development of world class medical device products. Provides recommendations and technical support on design reviews and field issues. Assists with allocation, budgeting, resource planning, and scheduling. Ensure appropriate supervision of the departmental staff to achieve quality, cost-effective design and economical, efficient and productive environment. Participate in the departmental functions such as trade shows and surgeon visits. Maintain field contact in order to obtain field input and post-conceptual feedback. Support operations and sales with regard to product manufacturing and realization.
Expected Areas of Competence
• Previous supervisory experience • Excellent communication skills • Experience with electro-mechanical system design • Familiarity with schematic capture and pcb layout tools. • Medical Device experience preferred, but not required.
Education/Experience Requirements
•Electrical Engineering plus minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design and 5 plus years in engineering management preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel Requirements
• Up to 15%
