PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Manage the manufacturing and assembly process relative to electric motors
Perform a variety of assembly operations using hand tools, power tools and other equipment
Coordinate with quality to verify completed assemblies meet engineering requirements to fulfill customer needs
Responsible for working with the Operations Team for meeting timelines and development of on-site early unit production at SMC for new customer programs launhes
Develop and maintain and environment where new and potential customers can experience and learn about Dana’s EV capabilities
Assist in the identification, implementation, and evaluation of lean initiatives, standard work instructions and process documents to help increase productivity and efficiency rates
Coordinate with engineering, quality, operations purchasing and others to develop robust processes for production implementation
Analyze and support engineering deviations and change requests
Work closely with Quality and Purchasing to verify all purchased components meet specifications and identify any potential issues
Provide regular updates on build schedule and downtime issues to the Operations Manager
Support containment, problem solving and corrective actions relative to customer concerns or issues
Manage to critical KPI’s daily to confirm that schedules are being met
Work with Operations Manager and Quality Engineer to develop, prepare and present operations reports confirming KPI’s are monitored, and requirements are met
Performs other duties as required
QUALITICATIONS
High School diploma or Equivalent
Manufacturing and assembly background – 1- years; 3+ years a plus
Demonstrated proficiencies with automotive and other motion systems
Experience working in a launch/ prototype environment
Familiarity in a technical manufacturing environment preferred
Electric Vehicle experience is a plus
High voltage safety knowledge preferred
Proven excellent customer relationship management skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer literacy functions
Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization and may be required to facilitate workshops or presentations
Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally if needed
Ability and willingness to make suggestions as to changes or improvements to the product and/or work area
