What You Will Do
Perform feasibility, estimation, design, guide development/execution of connected car-related software solutions to address business needs.
Provide detailed architectural blueprints and technical leadership to our delivery and IT teams.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance, and end-users to produce cutting-edge software solutions.
Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed.
Troubleshoot critical functional and performance issues at the components code level quickly and efficiently.
Promote the use of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows.
Ensures that enterprise systems and/or strategic projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
Collaborate with other architects and provide a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable, and synchronized with the ever-changing business needs.
Manage risks associated with information and IT assets through the development, use, and promotion of the appropriate standards and security policies.
Work to settle architecture differences or conflicts existing across the various architecture layers in the enterprise.
Work with various business and IT stakeholders to demonstrate and show the business value of enterprise-wide, shared infrastructure or to show the value of any new strategic platforms being considered.
Work with business and technical staff to capture and validate integration requirements for the project, using industry-standard integration and SOA methodologies.
Decide, document, and enforces design decisions that have a broad impact.
Write source material for white papers and user documentation of architecture.
Communicate with customer representatives to set proper expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Mentor developers & junior architects in best practices and encourage the flow of information and understanding amongst teams.
What You Need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
10+ years of experience designing and building scalable and distributed software applications.
Deep knowledge of stream messaging concepts (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, etc.), stream data processing applications design (Kafka streams, AWS Lambda, etc.), efficient and scalable data storage solutions (MongoDB, HBase, AWS DynamoDB, etc.), SQL based systems (Oracle, AWS Redshift, etc.), web application development (Java web app, Java Spring, etc.), API gateway principles (Apigee, AWS Gateway, etc.), security concepts like oauth2/OECD.
Proficiency with Java programming language and major Java frameworks (Spring, etc.).
Good understanding of containerization (Docker) and execution orchestration (Kubernetes) open-source frameworks.
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Tencent, Azure, Alibaba, etc.) services and APIs.
Familiar with scalable batch data processing technologies, ETL/ELT concepts, and Hadoop ecosystem frameworks.
Experience working on complex software projects and ability to learn & retain complex business processes and technical details.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication, organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple projects; proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule.
Lead a diverse team of varied cultures, nationalities and located across various time zones.
Ability to document complex architectural concepts and solutions in both business and technical terms.
Experience utilizing popular Enterprise Architecture tools and methodologies.
