Job Description

What You'll Do:

Utilize company business systems, engineering databases and archives and industry databases to analyze data and information provided by customers to identify the components the customer needs to support their repair and maintenance of railcars.
Support customer service and order entry processes by providing accurate information regarding items that will fulfill customer requirements.
Manage projects assigned to the research queue to assure that they are processed in a timely manner and in line with customer service priorities. 
Support cost estimating in finalizing material requirements to complete responses to customer requests for quotation (RFQ).
Communicate and work closely with design engineering to resolve any issues involving customer requests and special projects.  This includes supporting engineering to provide current part specifications that match the prior revision parts that match the customer’s application.
Assure that research projects are properly archived and indexed to support future research activities.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management or similar field with at least two years’ experience in a customer service/ internal sales environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of rail industry and railcar products
Excellent interaction skills with internal/external customers
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to utilize ERP and engineering systems
