About the Job

The key responsibility of the Sr Global Product Manager, Scissors, in close collaboration with the Sales & Marketing teams around the world, is directly manage the Scissors product portfolio and to support developing and execute strategic plans to achieve the global company mission. This position will manage a virtual P&L for the product line and drive decisions on overall Product Line, New Product Development, Pricing, SIOP, and Go-to-market strategies.  Competencies include expertise in commercial strategy development, market analysis, product roadmapping, engineering, forecasting and marketing at all stages of the product lifecycle with the objective of maximizing sales revenue, market share, and profit margins.

 

Global responsibility for Scissor product line, virtual P&L, and go-to-market strategy
Drive execution of strategic market share and margin growth initiatives
Lead monthly product line operations review process to drive improved business results
Interface with production footprint team to achieve alignment between product road map and production footprint roadmap.
Participate in the development of product roadmap and drive the execution of product development through extensive knowledge and research of customer needs, market trends, customer/market segmentation, distribution channel characteristics, target market size, external environmental trends, and financial analysis.
Provide excellent (internal) customer support on product specific issues and new opportunities
Support Genie SIOP process and capital investment planning.
Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, projects and strategies.
Make recommendations for innovative solutions to improve our short-term and long-term competitive position.
Ability to prioritize projects, taking into account customer and business impact versus available resources.
Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

 

About You

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or similar field
7+ years of experience running high level business strategy and project execution OR MBA and 5 years experience
The ability to travel up to 30% (domestic/international) post-covid
English proficiency, additional languages are beneficial
Comfortable demonstrating the complete line of Genie products working at heights
Located in or willing to relocate to Redmond, WA

 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business Administration
P&L leadership experience
Experience in sales, marketing, product management, or manufacturing
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role, having worked with sales, marketing, manufacturing and engineering
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales
Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations
Has a strong understanding of the manufacturing, engineering and product support process
Experience with management system, training, planning, and financial analysis is a plus
Well-developed problem solving skills
Strong time management and project management skills
Experience analyzing and guiding sound business decisions based on research data and other input
Ability to work effectively in a multi-dimensional matrixed organization effectively.
