Responsibilities
Makes and administers the contractual commitments for commercial aircraft, fabrication of parts, research and technology partnerships and related products, data, and services provided by the company.
Develops, negotiates, and documents the terms and conditions of business and legal arrangements and manages risks assumed in support of company objectives.
Candidate will be working in a team environment, interacting with multiple disciplines and multiple levels of leadership, providing contractual and strategic guidance, establishing effective long-term customer relationships (internal and external), meeting commitments to ensure customer satisfaction and incorporating contractual process continuous improvement projects.
Participates in, leads, and coordinates team relationships that lead to a thorough understanding of customers and their requirements, effective long-term customer relationships, customer satisfaction through the meeting of commitments, and continuous improvement of all contractual processes.
Responsible for entire life cycle of assigned commercial contracts/agreements which include: preparation of contract/agreement documents, proposals, ground rules and assumptions, terms risk assessments, Purchase Order (PO) management and review, pricing review and approval, fact finding and audit support, negotiations, administration, reconciliations, and closeout.
Candidate must be flexible and able to balance priorities within multiple programs and projects.
The selected candidate will review, edit, draft, and negotiate contractual markups and NDAs.
The selected candidate can expect to support interdisciplinary team to manage a complex processes such as warranty administration.
Collaborate to ensure full input and buy-in from Program and functional focals, addressing their concerns through contracting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 6 years’ experience of contracts and negotiations OR a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience of contracts and negotiations.
Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, negotiations, drafting, administration and closeout.
Ability to identify, assess and recommend mitigation for commercial risk inherent in a contract and present same to leadership.
Strong oral, written, presentation and negotiation skills; ability to create and deliver concise, impactful presentations at all levels of the organization (manager through CEO)
Proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units and geographical regions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
