Job Role Summary

The state legislative and planning attorney/advisor will provide multi-state income and franchise tax advice, possess strong tax research skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The attorney/advisor will be primarily responsible for ExxonMobil’s state tax legislative function, working closely with Public & Government Affairs as well as with external partners to analyze and advise on state tax legislation and advocate for sound tax policy.  The tax attorney/advisor will also optimize ExxonMobil’s business transactions, rationalize complex legal entity structures, identify optimal filing options, and implement state tax planning strategies that are aligned with ExxonMobil’s business operations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience

• Minimum of a JD or Masters in Taxation
