Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Investigate how we can apply AI and ML strategies to solve problems in technology, design and manufacturing
Investigate what methods are most appropriate for the problems we want to address
Lead implementation of, and self-implement solutions
No relocation
Interact with the rest of the team to understand EDA/Design/Manufacturing problems and see what parts can benefit most from ML/AI
Actively cooperate with other groups inside Applied Materials to leverage benefits of ML techniques combined with EDA methods to improve our tool offerings
Qualifications :
MSc or PhD in ML/AI or closely related topic
At least 12 years of experience
Well experienced with various learning strategies, focus on small data sets
Experienced in ML for engineering applications (preferably in EDA)
Implemented >=2 applications using ML
Systematic and independent worker with abstraction skills to work on any of the above, while leaving details to the experts
Good communicator
