The role works in a highly team-based and collaborative manner to develop solutions for use at both a regional and a global level in support of South America and Asia. This position is responsible for 24/7 after-hours support to IG North America plants in all material requirements. Travel to plant sites is required when necessary. This position emphasizes organization, planning and execution.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:
North American Plant support
Independently solves problems on non-inventoried parts and emergency needs
Completes SAP requisitioning/purchasing inventory
Inventory Management – North America Operations sites
Replenishes inventory at North American operations sites utilizing SAP MRP recommendations and completing Purchase Requisitions to send to SBS
Minimizes inventory investment by utilizing SAP inventory transactions, logistics skills and an understanding of operation critical needs
Able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing in decision making process
Inventory Replenishment – Asia and South America (includes Indura) from North America
Process replenishment parts (ZSTO) for Brazil, Asia, and Europe
Requisition parts from North American vendors who will not sell directly
Provide quotes for non-spare parts related potential purchases from North American vendors
Create all export documentation for each shipment
Consolidate shipping of multiple orders to the same country-reduce import costs/handling
E-mail tracking information to end country logistics team
Provides guidance to less-skilled co-workers regarding plant support and new plant set-up activities. Teaches plant support/new plant set-up process to less-skilled co-workers.
Able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing in the decision- making process. Interfaces with Operations, GEMTE and North America sourcing.
Manages multiple, competing number one priorities. Completes ancillary projects concurrently with number one priorities.
Maintains trust and credibility with individuals, organizations and customer groups in conflict situations. Works effectively in a variety of functional and business situations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Supply Chain, Engineering)
Experience working within a global environment; prefer 3-5 years’ work experience
Strong SAP experience in either inventory, maintenance or purchasing modules
Strong collaborative skills; ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team environment
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, highly computer literate
