Job Overview: 

The Distribution Analyst will be responsible for driving results to achieve distribution and productivity financial strategies and goals.  This will generate projects and cost cutting measures to mitigate the escalation of distribution costs.   The candidate will need the ability identify, scope, and prioritize areas of improvements.  Those areas of improvement will need to communicate and implemented in the corresponding regions thru the Region Distribution Managers.  Individual will need to address business needs and problems across multiple regions, promote and lead change by shifting paradigms, challenging the status quo, driving teams towards sustainable solutions, and process improvements. 

The candidate will also be responsible for PALS/ DTS development and testing when code changes are required.

Effectively use problem solving tools as needed to achieve cost savings targets; present findings and make recommendations to client.
Ability to pull, understand, and interpret distribution data sources ie. Syntellic, PALS, PeopleNet, OBIEE, Cognos, etc.
Ability to look at TRE reports to find operational opportunities.
Trained in Six Sigma and Lean methodology.
Must be able to work with cross functional groups (procurement, distribution, logistics, suppliers, field locations) to drive costs out of the system.
Analyze plant distribution to find opportunities to impact variable distribution costs.
Looking at real time data and dashboards during the month to find areas that could be outside budget prior to month end close.
Drive action for correction.
Continually seek to replicate distribution value stream projects across the country.
Understands strategic direction of business units or division and implements action plans to meet the needs of the business and key stakeholders.
Create and maintain PALS/ DTS requirements documents based on business needs to accurately reflect system functionality for use by developers for code changes.
Perform PALS/ DTS system testing in response to code changes, including writing, repairing, and executing test cases within the appropriate guidelines to maintain application validation where applicable.

Qualifications:

Requires a BA or BS
4+ years Logistics and/ or Distribution experience required
Strong problem solving, analytical, and multi-tasking skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence people, direct change, and drive results
