The Operations Project Manager (OPM) oversees all Operations efforts relating to contract execution and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. The OPM acts as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. They ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the procurement, build, and test of complex electronic systems. A successful candidate should be able to:

Essential Functions:

Coordinate with Master Schedulers and Master Planners to develop baseline production plans
Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds
Assess cost and schedule risks and develop associated mitigations
Estimate sales forecasts for labor and material
Monitor and report financial, schedule and technical performance of assigned projects
Identify and coordinate resources necessary for production efforts
Oversee production budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis
Interface and communicate with all levels of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent
4 years or more of project management
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environment
4+ years experience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft project or Primavera is preferred
4+ years experience with Microsoft Excel and demonstrate ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tables

Preferred Additional Skills:

4+ years experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring is desired
Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations is desired

Due to the nature of the work, this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
