Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and follow all general plant safety rules
Follow all LOTO requirements
Perform daily housekeeping
Read Safety Data Sheets and perform spill / cleaning / disposal / container labeling procedures for each chemical.
Must be able to adhere to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) requirements                  
Look for process deviations that may affect normal responsibilities           
Monitor incoming fabric for flags and potential weak or defective fabric for removal              
At shift change, communicate any opportunities to oncoming range team.                                        
Patrol exit end of the range for quality opportunities such as turned selvedge creases, stains, streaks, or addition

physical defects. Notify supervisor and take corrective action if the defect becomes excessive (>100 yds).

Know the proper time, temperature and process specifications and understand basic trouble shooting root cause analysis. Understand processes, fabric types and characteristics
Maintain Strict Specification adherence (100% audits). Fill out required specification audits. Correct / immediately report all out of tolerance machine parameters properly
Quality defect recognition / troubleshooting and reporting procedures for all defects including: physical, chemical, bias and seam quality. Monitor for flags and potential weak or defective fabric.
Access, document and report machinery maintenance / cleaning opportunities using red tags, reports and action register
Demonstrated ability to perform LOTO level 2 training and annual certifications
Analyze process deviations affecting quality and machine performance using core cause analysis (5-Why etc.)
Ensure all safety devices are in place (i.e. guards, chains, etc).           
Ensure fabric guides are working properly and are clear of lint build up                      
Ensure all air hoses and water hoses are rolled up and out of the floor.
Pick up any loose trash and dispose of properly.
Perform all required downtime duties.          
Assist in cleaning the range during weekly, scheduled, or unscheduled shutdowns
Assist lead operator in all start-ups, shutdowns, breakouts, and other opportunities that may occur.
Report any mechanical/electrical opportunities to Engineering Services, Supervisor, Production Manager, PI or PIA.
Fill out any required paperwork and forms
Perform daily safety audits (including safety devices, pinch points, Emergency stops, etc.) and report to VOH / Team Leader
Perform / audit 5S, DMS, DTM activities and general housekeeping:

Area eye wash stations
Platforms / Range and floor
Administrative and Titration areas
Hoses, tools, measurement devices

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read and write and follow directions
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
Operate MES, SPEC, MOD, SAP, drive systems and reporting

MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Tugger
Forklift
Scissor Lift

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 17 years of age or older
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Follow any instructions given by the Supervisor, Production Manager, PI, or PIA.
Follow all safety rules, report all safety incidents, regardless of how slight, to manager immediately.
Be at the job on time, attendance is mandatory
