Position Summary
The Retail Analyst is an integral part of the Retail Execution Organization- focused on the Kraft Heinz retail go-to-market strategy. We are searching for someone who operates efficiently both behind a desk and in front of people. The role is split between detail-oriented tasks such as analytics and project management- and cross-functional communication and collaboration. The Retail execution Analyst position is responsible for the full US scope of customers and KH product portfolio- a great way to learn the big picture of our business. S/he will also work directly with top sales leadership and partner with nearly every other business function- including customer- brand- retail- in store merchandising- supply chain and finance teams. It is a unique opportunity for visibility and growth within the organization.
The Analyst is ultimately responsible for delivering on key performance indicators for sales- distribution- merchandising- innovation speed to shelf- shelving compliance and broker performance. S/he will achieve this through developing plans- implementing new processes- tracking and monitoring performance and working with teams on tangible action plans that translate into sales results.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring and improving retail execution plans
Manage external vendors- mostly including brokers- merchandising providers and other suppliers
Cultivate relationships with vendor senior personnel to drive action and incremental sales
Manage the BMX/BSN program with customer teams and broker
Establish and govern rituals and routines for retail team- including root cause analysis and action plans
Continuously improve retail planning process and inputs
Streamline communication flow and shared information cross functionally
Process improvement and standardization- enabling teams to stay focused in the field
Align field sales and retail teams with brand and executive priorities
Analyze data and key performance indicators (sales- distribution- merchandising- innovation speed to shelf- velocity- shelving compliance- broker performance and others)
Develop and implement projects which accelerate results
Prepare presentation materials to be presented cross functionally and for CEO- COO- Head of Sales and other executive leadership reviews
Complete all required compliance activities as dictated by KH policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
1-2 years experience in analytics- retail- project management- operations- customer service or sales
CPG experience preferred
Process Management – Accurate and timely reporting with drive to improve and streamline processes. Technology savvy- especially in excel and power point.
Strong Leadership Skills – owner- self-starter- great motivation- highly proactive- open to change and out of the box/creative thinking- a potential future leader.
Superior Execution – willingness to roll up sleeves and execute key initiatives in a timely manner.
Great Relationship Skills – Strong at forging internal/external relationships and commanding trust/respect of others.
Advanced Communication Skills – ability to clearly and concisely relay important details and updates to management on behalf of SM Lead
Strong Analytical/Problem Solving Skills – perform situation analyses- identify promotional opportunities using POS data/financial returns/identify growth strategies
