Requisition Summary

Global PACCAR Parts Information Technology team has an immediate opening for a motivated and energetic Data Engineer who wants to challenge themselves by working on Best-in-Class business enterprise applications, cloud products, ETL tools, and data warehousing. In this position you will work with multiple stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop innovative and sustainable data pipelines and repositories for internal and external business data.
 
As the lead Data Engineer on this high profile team you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of data pipelines and data warehouse designs used by PACCAR employees, dealers, customers and shareholders.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Solve highly technical and complex problems

Develop and enhance PACCAR data warehouse

Understanding and efficient/appropriate use of ETL processes & tools

Proficiency in cloud applications that support Business Intelligence activities

Date warehousing system enhancements

Other duties as assigned

On-call support of PACCAR’s data warehouse

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

1+ years’ experience working with ETL tools 
Experience working in an Agile Development environment
1+ years experience working in AWS cloud products, such as S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, etc
Experience with developing code for highly scalable and high availability solutions
Ability to understand business requirements and turn them into technical requirements/code
2+ years experience in a programming language(s) (Python & SQL preferred)
Maintain high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines
Ability to work well with others, as well as independently, in a fast paced environment with talented engineers and analysts
Strong understanding of the relationship between back-end server, applications, databases, and networks
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
A demonstrated passion for technology and innovation
A successful candidate will have aggressive learning goals and may support business partners using critical solutions that would require on-call responsibilities
