Your Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Data Analyst is to support data modelling activities as directed by the Lead Data Modeler. These activities include analyzing source system documentation to draft a target data dictionary, identify data patterns (real time, intraday, batch) and develop target state data flow and process flow diagrams that will all serve as the primary inputs for modeling the data. The Data Analyst must possess an understanding of relational databases to develop the data modeling inputs in the appropriate context. Under the direction and training of the Lead Data Modeler, the Data Analyst will make specific updates to the data models primarily in terms of data object names and definitions.
The Data Analyst must also possess the skills to effectively collaborate with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain all of the information necessary to develop complete and accurate data models in addition to managing all project artifacts using change control procedures.

The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel approximately 50% of the time post-covid. This position requires relocation to Louisiana within 30 days of the office reopening. No remote opportunities exist.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 2 years relevant experience as:
SQL, Data Structures, Linked Lists, Algorithm basics (Big O notation, comparing and sorting algorithms)
Java, Java Script, Python, and Algorithm basics
