Accountabilities:
Perform mechanical, electrical, and adhesion testing using a variety of testing equipment
Responsible for accurate data entry into spreadsheets (excel, minitab etc.) as well as data analysis using statistical techniques
Maintain equipment calibration for all R&D test equipment
Conduct competitive products evaluations
Conduct product verification and performance testing for new product introductions and existing line changes
Create and build prototypes of new products under supervision
Participate in problem solving for new/improved product design
Assist with manufacturing phase-in of new/improved products
Develops test methods, test fixtures, and set-ups
Perform intra-laboratory testing requests
Maintain lab notebook with proper authorizations
Write tests protocol and report test results with conclusions
Other projects as assigned by the Manger of Research and Development.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
3-5 years of experience as R&D Tech or other relevant experience highly preferred
Up to date knowledge in testing Medical Devices using standard test equipment such as Instron, high resolution microscopes, comparators and experience utilizing different calibrated custom and off the shelf measurement equipment/tools preferred
Experience reporting results with conclusions using Excel and Word

Strong attention to detail due to data and testing requirements
Ability to work closely with Engineering team and take direction from team and execute on action items/directions
Ability to independently manage multiple projects & prioritize tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
