3D Printing Metals – Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced process engineer to work in an internal facility in Corvallis, Oregon dedicated to delivering sample metal parts and exploring applications for future HP Metal Jet Fusion business development.

Responsibilities:

Partner with Sales, Operations and Engineering organizations to deliver sample customer parts using HP Metal Jet Fusion, on schedule and meeting specifications, to enable future business development.
Maintain a default end-to-end process flow through print and sinter, including process recipes, statistical process control, operating procedures, change management.
Identify and lead resolution for issues with process stability and part quality.
Provide feedback to Applications and R&D engineering teams on process capability and potential product/process improvements for increased capability.
Support customer-facing training, process, and applications development within the facility.
 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or other engineering degree.
3+ years process engineering experience in a manufacturing or development environment
Excellent communication and technical problem solving skills
Prior experience with process characterization, stabilization, statistical process control, yield improvement
Experience in working with a cross-functional team across R&D, sales and operations
Strong team player
Metals manufacturing, 3D printing or advanced manufacturing experience is a bonus
