Essential Responsibilities

Drive the implementation of GE EHS Programs and continuous improvement in EHS performance to achieve EHS excellence.
Support the creation of EHS strategy aligned with business and Value Stream expectations to achieve best-in-class performance. 
Coach/mentor site EHS Leaders and Services People Leaders and provide hands on support
Develop and implement Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and processes including: Management of Change, Emergency Preparedness and Fire Protection, Chemical handling and safety, Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Working Procedures , EHS Training, Ergonomics, Contractor Safety, Environmental programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste), Chemical Management (TSCA, EPCRA, compliance and release reporting), Crisis Management, and Industrial hygiene
Conduct compliance and management system audits and reviews necessary to meet company and local compliance requirements to reduce risk liability.
Drive improvement and track goals achievement through collection, analysis and communication of EHS goals and measurements (including but not limited to programs evaluation, work place audits, findings closure, training completion, injuries and illnesses and other significant events),
Work with the business operational managers to ensure that all operational activities are clearly identified, and risk assessed to ensure safe working procedures are developed and any safety hazards are appropriately controlled (e.g. barriers and engineering controls) 
Work directly and align strategy with the EU regional EHS Leader
Create and implement a strategy for prioritizing, developing, and implementing safety management technical standards for new and existing business risks (powder management, handling, ignition prevention, etc)
Train leadership, engineers, and workforce on application of technical standards in support of building core competency in safety management for the Additive business
Participate in and lead incident and near miss investigations, communicate incidents and key learnings across the business, and ensure sustainable corrective actions are implemented
Manage and improve Additive’s Management of Change and New Product Introduction Processes

Qualifications/Requirements

 Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
 

 Minimum of 5 years of experience EHS management in an industrial environment

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics
