Function Overview:

As a Cyber Security Operations Manager, you will help secure Whirlpool’s infrastructure against both insider and outsider threats. You will take on the leadership role of managing Whirlpool’s state-of-the-art security tools to correlate threats, respond to incidents, and protect our global assets. Additionally, you’ll work collaboratively with other members of our Global Security team to investigate incidents, analyze attack methods, research new defense techniques and tools, and document procedures for the Global Security Operations Center. Successful candidates will need a strong foundation in Information Security and a strong desire for continuous learning. 

Responsibilities:    

People leadership
Budget management
Technically lead Critical Incident Response activities
Own, operate and drive security operations and protections for the company
Coordinate defense in depth protections with 3rd party providers for threat intelligence, threat analysis, and threat remediation
Respond to threats in real-time, through diagnosis, communication, and remediation
Prevent successful attacks by hardening Whirlpool’s defenses and working to close vulnerabilities
Bring and build expertise in cybersecurity tools in Whirlpool’s environment
Lead and manage significant security-related projects
Represent the cybersecurity function in multiple forums
Report directly to the Cyber Security Operations, Senior Manager
Provide input and recommendations on cybersecurity policy, risk, and overall security best practices
Ability to travel domestically and globally

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of experience in Cyber Security

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Oversee SIEM (Security information and event management) tools, such as Splunk.
Experience with Antivirus and encryption tools
Experience with Vulnerability Management tools and processes
Technical expertise in creating standard operating procedures
Servant leader mindset for keeping Whirlpool safe, secure, and reliable
Strong Technical expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response security tools, CASB (cloud access security broker) tools, and DLP (Data Loss Prevention ) solutions
Cloud security operations experience and cloud orchestration operations
Ability to work calmly under pressure in the face of adversity and threat activity
Ability to manage expectations, bring together and align different points of view
Possess outstanding executive presence and communication skills in oral and written form
Ability to establish positive working relationships and garner influence with other functions
Project management experience for full security system lifecycle and security tool upgrades, including business case development
Self-motivated to own and solve difficult challenges and ability to motivate others to higher levels of performance and engagement
Strong desire and aptitude for continuous learning and keeping abreast of new and emerging technology
Develop and enhance proactive Threat hunting for the Cyber Security team
Interact with, influence, and negotiate security requirements with internal and external parties
