POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Developer with is a key member of the CVR Commercial Team. The Developer will help to drive the creation and adoption of Right Angle configuration, architecture processes and standards. In addition, he/she will be responsible for building a long-term vision of CVR's commercial architecture that will enable a simpler, more secure, and more efficient future-state. Paramount to the success of this role is the Developer's ability to collaborate with and influence IT peers in Development, Reporting, and Business Applications. Working with key Vendors and other Application consultants with the common goal of creating and simplifying systems, functions, and processes will be an important attribute.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer science, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline or may substitute an equivalent combination of professional certifications demonstrating technical proficiency, technical education, and experience.
Coding and Development certifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

10+ years of experience in Right Angle application development, integration, and support.
Extensive experience in developing solutions with develop tools in .NET, Java, PL SQL is a must.
5+ years of experience developing in RightAngle.
Experience with Right Angle R20 or later is preferred.
Practical experiences to advanced database skills using SQL Server (includes design and scripting of tables, stored procedures, etc. using Visual Studio and SSMS).
Experience creating process flows with Visio and writing technical documentation.
Experience in writing technical specifications and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
Passion to explore new development tools, frameworks, utilities.
Ability to take ownership on a project and lead teams technically towards deliverables.
Experience of mentoring junior level developers is a plus.
Experience with version tracking systems such as TFS.
Ability to establish performance levels to achieve individual and group goals; trains in necessary skills needed to succeed and advance.
Oil and Gas experience considered a plus.

Technical Capability:

Strong background with Right Angle or other ETRM system.
Expert knowledge and experience with application architectures and design patterns.
Demonstrated expertise with modern development languages (.Net, Java).
Heavy SQL development experience (Oracle, SQL Server).
Strong knowledge in window-based applications by utilizing C# .NET, WinForms.
Strong knowledge in multi-tiered web-based applications by utilizing ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, XML, CSS, Web Services (ASMX and WCF).
Demonstrated experience with RPC request/response, asynchronous communication, and message based communication (TIBCO,WebSphereMQ, MSMQ, Broker/Bus).
Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of IT Security best practices and integration with application authorization and access.
Thorough understanding of enterprise system design challenges.
Ability to resolve increasingly complex problems.
Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate unexpected changes.
Fluent in English, both oral and written required

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Translate software requirements into workable programming code and maintain and develop programs for use in business.
breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language.

Create testing sample datasets to check that output from the program works as intended.
Conducting testing and installing the program in Dev and Test.
Writing instruction on how to install the program into Production.

Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators.
Creating consulting manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge.
Updating, repairing, modifying, and developing existing software and generic applications.

CVR Energy, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in petroleum refining and nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing activities in the United States. The company operates in Petroleum and Nitrogen Fertilizer segments. The Petroleum segment refines and markets transportation fuels, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, and other refined products. It owns and operates a coking medium-sour crude oil refinery in southeast Kansas; and a crude oil refinery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, as well as supporting logistics assets. This segment primarily serves retailers, railroads, farm co-operatives, and other refiners/marketers.

The Nitrogen Fertilizer segment owns and operates a nitrogen fertilizer plant in North America that utilizes a pet coke gasification process to produce nitrogen fertilizer products; and a nitrogen fertilizer facility in East Dubuque, Illinois that produces nitrogen fertilizers in the form of ammonia and UAN. It primarily markets UAN products to agricultural customers; and ammonia products to agricultural and industrial customers. CVR Energy, Inc. was founded in 1906 and is based in Sugar Land, Texas.
