Job Description

Key Role:

Implements functional supports, that includes effective demonstration and intelligence analysis, to increase the clients' satisfaction on complex IT applications used in public health and the laboratory. Applies specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge, and systematic troubleshooting skills. Applies root-cause analysis and testing to identify user-reported issues and address through training or requesting a programmatic solution. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. Collaborates with trainers, software developers, business analysts, and testers to provide solutions to end-users. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products independently to create clear and professional looking documents and slide decks

3+ years of experience training end-users to use complex IT applications in formal sessions and informal meetings to show end-users workarounds or demo solutions, and creating training materials including Standard Operating Procedures, training scripts, or job-aids

3+ years of experience independently managing tasks and tracking action items to completion including user requests

2+ years of experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) including in the development or implementation of a LIMS or providing user support services for LIMS end-users

2+ years of experience documenting user requests, user issues, and its resolutions through a system

Ability to create verbal and written communication products for use with laboratory scientists, data analysts, and management level end-users, including phone calls, written emails, during webinars, and developing PowerPoint reports

HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

Experience working in a laboratory setting

Experience using ServiceNow

Experience using Team Foundation Server or JIRA

Knowledge of laboratory assays and procedures

Knowledge of Agile development processes, software development terminology, processes, and tools
