Our Engineering team at the Livewire Labs facility located in Mountain View, CA has an opening for a Manager Integration and Validation. This open position requires a relentless drive to success while working in an efficient, dynamic and agile systems focused engineering environment.

In this position you will:

•    Manage the team responsible for software integration and validation.
•    Drive and be responsible for the integration of software from individual components like Inverter, Charger and Battery Management System into the full EV Powertrains System.
•    Plan and execute the validation and verification of software requirements across the individual components and the full Powertrain system.
•    Ensure all functionality is fully tested, our quality standards are met, and that each discrete component operates as intended both independently as well as in an integrated system.
•    Ensure all safety related functionalities are fully tested and tests are passed before SW delivery.
•    Drive automation of test execution on our HIL Test Platform
•    Report test results and test coverage to all stakeholders.
•    Sign off on SW deliverables.
•    Be passionate about finding flaws and bugs, facilitate requirement and development reviews, assist in structural code coverage and analysis, and manage the end to end review and coordination of this iterative process.
•    Continue to develop and improve the process of integration and validation, its tools and documentation landscape.
•    Foster a team’s mindset to achieve these goals in an efficient and agile manner. 
•    Contribute to overall conformance to well-adopted international standards including ISO26262, as well as global regulatory requirements.

Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar studies. 

Knowledge & Experience Required:

•    Strong foundation in knowledge of software integration and validation. 
•    Hands-on experience in developing, bring-up of HIL test equipment. 
•    Hands-on experience in developing test scripts, test execution, trouble shooting and debugging. 
•    Experience managing a team and complex programs
•    Have excellent communication and leadership skills
•    Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in the following is also preferred:

•    Approximately 5-7 years’ experience in integration and validation in an Automotive environment.
•    Experience with power levels from 500W to 50kW+ and voltage levels up to 400V.
•    Power Electronics laboratory experience.
•    Knowledge of data acquisition tools such as LabView, Veristand, CANalyzer, Neo VI, etc.
•    Experience with NI test equipment.
