Job Details
The Child Life Specialist works providing emotional and psychosocial support, therapeutic recreational and diversion activities to aid in coping skills and reduce anxiety for hospitalized and OPD patients. The Specialist works with families to promote family-centered care as well as offers support and education to patients and their families.
Qualified candidates will have 1+ year in Child Life with strong OR/Clinical procedure and preparation experience. Excellent teaching/communications skills needed, bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus. Bachelor’s degree in CL or related field with completion of a clinical CL internship and CCLS Certification required.
