Job Details
Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.
Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
Able to appropriately a ssess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion.
Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation.
Required:
· Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy
· At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, preferred
· At least 1 year of experience in a pediatric ICU setting, preferred
· Active Respiratory Therapy license in state of PA
· BLS, required; PALS and ACLS, preferred
