The Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Manager responsibilities:

Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Hazard Communication and Hotwork programs,
Defining, evaluating and assuring compliance with Personal Protective Equipment,
Industrial Hygiene testing for dusts and hearing,
Trained in first aid, CPR, AED, and blood borne pathogen certifications.
Experience developing matrices to track training, KPI’s and action plans.
CSP, CIH or CHMM or equivalent certification preferred.
Knowledge of CA Title V Air Emission, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste programs preferred.

In the first 6 months, you’ll:

Assume responsibility for updating the OSHA 300 Log on a monthly basis and post annually.
Coordinate a training matrix to assure all employees are receiving effective and required training to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain a strong, positive presence on the plant floor to identify at risk behaviors and conditions and to encourage positive change in behaviors and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with Human Resources to assure new employees receive required health and safety training.
Support the Regional EH&S staff with implementing the annual corporate EHS Business Plan.

Qualifications

The Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Manager should have:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing plant environment in Health & Safety management.
Direct experience with training, maintaining and administering the following programs at a minimum
