Position Overview
This position must be willing, and have the ability to perform all of the Lean Manufacturing team member’s duties in that team leader’s area of responsibility. This position will be responsible for areas including electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic equipment. Troubleshoots issues and problems, and escalate complex issues to leadership.
Responsibilities
Adhere to and promote Terex safety policies and procedures
Adhere to and promote The Terex Way Values
Follows paint production schedule to determine parts to load.
Visually inspects and loads components onto automatic conveyor paint line.
Relieve team members when they need to leave the work station
Train and cross train team members
Initiate daily production Kaizen/Improvements
Maintain/Audit/Improve standard work
Understanding of TAKT time and Cycle time
Strong Understanding of Single Piece Flow
Ability to identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processes
Flex into other areas and departments as needed
All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Ability to successfully pass a respirator test
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to accurately read and understand tape measurements
Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as simple hand tools and hand-powered hydraulic material handling devices
Possess basic welding skills
Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group
Physical Requirements of the Job
Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:
10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift
