What you’ll do:
Apply wide range of data engineering skills for developing, maintaining, and modernizing our data pipelines both for real-time and batch processing decision systems

Build and maintain high-quality and flexible data visualizations and visualization systems that enable critical data science and business processes.
Drive towards best-in-class data platform/products/solutions, demonstrate top-notch operational excellence and maintain high level of data quality.
Drive coding, design, architectural best practices. Lead by example and mentor other team members.

Who you are:
Have an advanced degree in a relevant quantitative discipline
5+ years’ experience in experience in building and maintaining big data systems
Strong aptitude in data structures, programming and scalable data processing technologies
Have a bias to action and ability to balance between immediate needs and long-term strategy execution.
Good Understanding to handle multiple priorities through efficient planning and execution
Strong Scala and Python programming skills
Good understanding of the software development life-cycle – analysis, design, coding, integration, testing. Have enterprise level end-to-end software development experience
Experience with Spark, Map-Reduce programming, Kafka and Hive
Strong understanding and experience in relational (SQL) and analytical databases (noSQLs).
Experience with ETL, data transformation, data pipelines – collecting/aggregating data from transactional systems/events to analytical ones in a distributed computing environment.
Experience building and maintaining data visualizations using modern tools such as Tableau.
Exposure to a cloud eco-system, such as AWS
