Edward Jones

St Louis, MO

Edward D. Jones Sr. establishes Edward D. Jones & Co., determined that his company will treat associates as partners in the business and treat clients fairly by offering appropriate, quality investments. The firm’s offices open in downtown St. Louis, the heart of the city’s financial district. The office consisted of a single room furnished with a desk, three chairs and a hatrack. In time, the firm expanded into a second room and a bank of telephones

Edward Jones is a leader in the financial services industry, but we take a personal approach to business that starts with a face-to-face meeting between an Edward Jones financial advisor and an investor.

We believe that building long-term relationships with our clients and placing individual branch offices in the neighborhoods where investors live and work are key to serving our clients' needs.

In a world increasingly dominated by impersonal, cost-cutting initiatives - where many in our industry seem intent on replacing human contact wherever possible - we believe that conducting business on a personal, one-to-one basis is the best approach. To learn more about what guides and drives us every day, read more about Our History.

Edward Jones serves nearly 7 million investors from more offices than any other investment firm in America. We attribute a great deal of our success to our principles and personal, long-term approach to investing.

We have consistently been ranked among the best companies to work for by FORTUNE magazine, and our employees tend to stay with us for years. As a privately owned company, Edward Jones has a very personal feel that’s almost like family. And we’re very proud of that.
