Summary:
Sub Refrigeration works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling different components of product lines. Sub Refrigeration is responsible for preparing the coil(s) as described in the job text, leak checks, filling the coil with nitrogen and placing the pressure plates on the coil(s).
Essential Responsibilities:
Read and follow written and verbal instructions
Read and comprehend job orders and bill of materials
Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself
Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
Perform any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components, such as compressor, condenser, expansion valves and tubing or piping needed to build equipment
Cut, bend and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines of refrigeration systems
Remove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerant
Conduct pre-startup check on all equipment
Identify any maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
Work at a different work stations as production needs require
Maintain work area in clean, safe and orderly manner
Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
High school diploma / GED required

Demonstrated proficiency with hand held tools and other measuring devices
