Job Summary

Mechanics maintain and repair a variety of pumps, compressors, motors, engines, turbines, generator, and other rotating and fixed equipment of all sizes, generally in the field.
Mechanics are responsible for coordinating and performing mechanical maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed.
Mechanics must be willing to work in the proximity of various electrical circuits and machinery in various outside weather conditions.
Mechanics work a 7:00a to 3:30p schedule, but may be required to provide relief to other technicians.  Mechanics have scheduled weeks on call. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Operational, mechanical, and maintenance knowledge of rotating equipment such as natural gas engines, reciprocating and screw compressors, and liquid handling pumps. 
Experience with CAT 3300, 3500, & 3600 series engines and Ariel Compressors is a plus. 
Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Must be able to communicate, and work with other personnel, departments, and outside officials.
Basic Computer skills needed for planning, scheduling, record keeping, regulations, engine analysis, and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of compressor stations, process flow, and components purpose within all stations. Must be knowledgeable of hazards and safety details within the stations.  2 years of formal or industry experience in oil/gas field is preferred. 

Job Role Responsibilities

Perform operations at Compressor Stations and field units. 
Accurately document commissioning, operational, preventative maintenance, and repairs on engine/compression packages and associated equipment. 
Also includes operations, maintenance, and repair on pumps, dehydration units, vapor recovery units, instrument/utility air skids, valves, control valves, actuators, etc. within the facility’s gas and liquid process.
