New Grad Engineer I

Job Description

The time is right to join HNTB! We are looking for an engineer, to be part of our growing Highway group, who is ready to be challenged and work on projects that could consist of corridor improvements, bridge replacements, interstate widening, and transit-oriented projects. They will have an opportunity to work on projects for clients all over the United States, as well as, have an opportunity to work with MnDOT, Metro Transit and other MN clients. We offer a flexible work schedule and the position will be located in our Golden Valley office or virtually.

Primary Focus Will Include:

Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs

Perform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications

Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawings

Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Graduation in December 2021 or May/June 2022.

Civil Engineering Degree

MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential Responsibilities:

Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.

Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.

Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.

Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.

Supports engineering teams with various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
