This job is an entry level member of the Revenue Accounting Team within the Finance Division. 
Responsible for unique direct contact with passengers, travel agencies and employees requesting resolutions to refund requests through various communication channels.  

What you'll do

?Prioritize both routine and urgent refund requests. 
Use logical thought process in approach to timely customer resolution 
Use of all available resources for accurate refund calculation  
Efficient research of discrepancies between customer information, documentation, and internal data. 
Accurate coding to ensure integrity of reporting 
Identify irregularities and determine, suggest, or implement the needed action.  
Address internal and external issues in need of attention and/or training and assume the responsibility for follow through. 
Ensure targets are being met according to Fair Credit Billing Act, Customer First Commitments and DOT requirements  
Provide Quality Control function assistance as directed  
Meet daily productivity standards for both quality and quantity 
Work with established department compensatory guidelines having the foresight to make recommendations beyond those guidelines for compelling reasons 
Perform various special projects as assigned 

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

High School diploma or GED Equivalency 
Thorough comprehension of Domestic General Rules, Tariffs, policies and procedures, SHARES reservation system, ARC reporting process, resource locations. 
Understanding of ticket components, interpretation of the linear fare ladder. 
Flexibility with modification of schedule as needed, to meet workflow demands 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field or equivalent training/experience? 
Airline/travel agency accounting experience 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 
Knowledge of general accounting principles/procedures 
Excellent organizational skills 
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision 
Logical, analytical thinking and problem-solving ability 
Analytical ability to project the impact of actions 
Strong mathematical aptitude 
Attention to detail 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Aptitude to make fair and unbiased appraisals of customer travel concerns based on multiple issues.
