Summary:
We are searching for a Senior Accountant -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will summarize the financial position of the organization by recording and analyzing transactions affecting accounts in the general ledger and preparing relevant reports for management.

Responsibilities :
Ensures activities are recorded to assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and Hospital policies and procedures
Reviews monthly closing entries prepared by accountants and assistants for accuracy by established departmental closing deadlines
Assists CFO and financial management in reviewing company level financials, addressing concerns and questions regarding variances and activity
Researches and responds to basic accounting inquiries posed by all sources
Reviews reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and integrity of monthly financial reporting
Reviews and prepares monthly financial statements for presentation to IDS boards and executive review
Works with management and executive to develop and establish clear and efficient reporting goals and to ensure appropriate presentation of financial data
Reviews entries and reconciliations for accuracy and communicate discrepancies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and general business required
3 years related experience required
Previous supervisory experience preferred
A master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience
