Job Description
Duties
Search public records and examine title documents in order to produce title commitments.
Assess risk and liabilities in accordance with Company Underwriting guidelines.
Review surveys with ability to map metes and bounds legal descriptions
Respond to objection letters from attorneys; explain Chain of title defects with agents; recognize title defects and formulate curative solutions.
Requirements
3 – 5 years of commercial examining experience.
Familiar with at least one of the following: Datatrace, Fund, Titlepoint.
Strong computer and typing skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication and analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently.
Ability to multitask in a highly productive manner.
