This project within the Acute Therapies SW Development team is to help create an IOS application that can interface with a PrisMax system to remotely change and display prescription parameters and control alarms.

There is an increased need/desire to be able to manage point of care devices from outside of the ICU as well as having control for several devices accessible from a common location.  At the end of the project the PrisMax system will be able to remotely change and display prescription parameters and relay critical alarm information to an external device. The external device shall be able to display the critical components of the PrisMax and allow the user at least partial control to perform actions relating to prescription parameters and the alarm remotely.

Responsibilities:

Create an IOS application that implements the IEEE standard for exchanging data in the ICU.
Consult with internal stakeholders to understand requirements of the system
Work directly with software development team in describing system requirements
Aggregate data and develop recommended prototype proposal
Present proposal to development team

Requirements:

Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical Engineer or related STEM major
GPA of 3.0 or above
Experience in an iOS development environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative
Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles
