Job Description

The Tax Advisor will provide tax advice to, assist in providing tax advice to, and help manage tax risk associated with certain business and operations units in Global Markets and Banking and the Global Wealth and Investment Management lines of business. The Tax Advisor will assist in tax review of new products and services to evaluate the potential impacts to the Company's tax and accounting positions in all relevant jurisdictions, including considering the tax impact and suitability requirements for potential clients, and determining the information reporting and withholding tax consequences.  The role involves reviewing and evaluating the impact of any new tax laws, regulations or other authorities that affect existing products and services and working with the relevant business and operations units to implement changes to approvals or guidelines necessary to comply with such new tax laws or regulations.  The role will be responsible for tax review of structured notes, ISDA contracts and other capital markets documentation and will provide ad hoc support to other members Corporate Tax team, as necessary.  It will also require participation in industry working groups.

The candidate must be able to manage several projects at one time and engage with individuals in business and operations units.  Excellent research and legal writing skills are required, as well as, strong written and oral communication skills.
