YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Director (BD&L) Business Development & Licensing, Insights and Deal Analytics, are to:
Responsible for the retrieval of scientific and commercial information for BD&L under time pressure to enable comprehensive due diligence;
Transform vast amount of retrieved data into actionable business insights, enabling BD&L and Senior management for evidence-based decision making;
Responsible to generate meaningful BD&L deal insights like benchmarks and construct analysis as e.g. reference to determine deal negotiation ranges;
Improve risk transparency through identifying disruptive and emerging competition to deal target;
Lead evidence-based deal analysis to inform management, investor relations and other key deal stakeholders in their decision making and internal and external communication, directly impacting the deal perception in capital markets;
Leverage Bayer’s digital transformation for BD&L to increase speed and efficiency for insights generation such as company profiles through automized dash boards;
Lead advancement of the intellectual and technological information and data analytics for BD&L and is single point of contact for BD&L to market research, scientific information and other business insight functions in Bayer;
Based in Boston, MA or Whippany, NJ.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Master’s degree preferred in Chemistry, Life Sciences or Medicine;
7+ years of industry experience in Business Insights or Market Analytics;
Profound knowledge, capabilities in handling scientific, commercial, BD&L information and knowledge management;
Familiarity with data providers used for BD&L / Pharma Industry for the retrieval of scientific and commercial data;
Broad understanding and experience of BD&L specific analytical requirements such as deal benchmarks and deal structure analysis;
Profound experience in managing supply partnerships with external vendors/providers of scientific / business information sources and related services;
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English Competencies;
Solid ability to understand complex business issues, result driven with strong analytical skills, comfortable with multi-task management and profound ability in priority setting;
Reliability and decisiveness in business decisions combined with creativity and the ability to design and implement highly innovative and sustainable processes;
Ability to influence others and navigate a stakeholder rich environment;
Able to work in an arena with high ambiguity;
Ability to synthesize opinions from diverse functions and geographies.
Preferred Qualifications:
International experience and the ability to adapt to cultural differences in both managing staff and interacting with business leaders throughout the world.
