Job Description

BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Planner Scheduler applies knowledge and skills to plan and coordinate all maintenance work needed for the Business Unit, including the planning and execution of all surface equipment in the asset. They collaborate with the DSC and Production teams to synchronize activities and avoid maintenance downtime, document all maintenance activities in the system, follow up completion of jobs with the vendor and ensure EHS compliance.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Requires 2 years in oil and gas, preferably construction or lease operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sets up maintenance plans (procedures and schedules) for new or moved equipment
• Set-up maintenance plan and schedule
• Receives/prepares SAP PM notification/prepares work order/ensures invoice aligns with cost estimate for minor subsurface well maintenance limited to non-BOPE jobs (i.e. swab, slickline, plunger maintenance, hot oil/water, regulatory, routine testing, batch/chemical/scale jobs, long stroke/respace, cap string inspection, fluid levels, dynamometer.
• Ensures the invoice aligns with cost estimate and job is closed
• Receives/prepares SAP PM notification/prepares work order
• Ensures the invoice aligns with cost estimate
• Provides technical services team maintenance schedules based on maintenance plans
• Provides technical services team maintenance schedules for assets covered by maintenance plans
• Works with multiple vendors daily to schedule work on Devon locations

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Oil and gas industry experience preferred 
• Practice safe work habits at all times 
• Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes 
• Strong knowledge of PC/mainframe systems, spreadsheet, and/or database application software. 
• Developed computer skills with industry specific software as well as Microsoft products 
• Strong math and science skills 
• Familiarity with drilling/production processes and terminology  
• Able to travel as required 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Attention to detail a must
