Description
PURPOSE:
Position and secure steel bars, wire mesh and post tension cables to reinforce concrete.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Must adhere to Harris Rebar’s safety programs and standards.
Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar’s vision and values
Learn to work from blue prints to position and secure steel reinforcing bars, rods, cables, or mesh using pliers, fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, and hand tools.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing
SELECTION CRITERIA
OSHA - 10 certification
Ability to read and understand placing drawings
Previous Rodman or concrete construction experience
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Due to the functional conditions of the position, this is a safety sensitive position
Must be able to work overtime when required

The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
