Job Description

Job Summary:

Collaborates with management to define and develop marketing strategies to drive profitable growth. Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with brand partners, third party vendors, etc. to leverage current offerings, opportunities and successes. Increases agreed upon growth goals, drives demand generation and expands market share by identifying, planning and executing the activities required to ensure successful achievement of marketing business objectives. Markets products/brands within budget to obtain maximum profitability. Evaluates and adjusts strategies to respond to changing and/or competitive markets.


Principal Responsibilities:

Identifies and cultivates key relationships with applicable influencers.
Negotiates with suppliers to obtain Marketing Development Funds (MDF) for assigned brand and manages MDF budgets to maximize Return On Investment (ROI).
Continually collaborates with internal peers, and/or suppliers to effectively define, develop and execute marketing strategies.
Manages the introduction of new programs or features.
Develops and/or implements marketing policies and objectives.
Defines the internal and external communication strategy for areas of responsibility.
Develops, implements and/or maintains all standardized marketing methodologies, tools and collateral of the assigned area ensuring consistent ‘look and feel’ for internal and external communications. Coordinates and manages applicable events.
Contracts and works with outside vendors for development and delivery of marketing programs.
May engage in contract negotiations.
May manage fee-based marketing programs focused on targeted markets.
May oversee the tracking of supplier rebates.
Other duties as assigned.


Job Level Specifications:

Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization. May represent department internally or externally.
Actions may impact the success of the overall department and/or the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.


Work Experience:

Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.


Education and Certification(s):

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
